Aurelia x Lift: The Bra Project

Aurelia x Lift: The Bra Project

Aurelia has now partnered up with LIFT: The Bra Project to donate bras to women in need in Toronto and the GTA!

Lift is a project designed to take donations of new and gently worn bras, clean them, and distribute the bras to shelters and organizations across Toronto and the GTA, including YWCAThe 519SisteringElizabeth Fry TorontoNative Women’s Resource CentreNellie's, and Jessie’s Centre.

Lift is not only about filling a need that has been overlooked, but also building confidence and allowing those experiencing poverty to be expressive. A properly-fitting bra can help to build confidence, and this notion is central to Lift.

At Aurelia, we also believe that a well-fitting lingerie can make a difference in a woman's day. That's why we make it our mission to provide women from all walks of life access to high-quality, well-fitting lingerie without the absurd price tag, and with privacy, comfort, and convenience. Through this partnership with Lift, we are now able to extend our reach by providing these pieces to women in need as well.

Even though we always strive to curate our boxes to fit the needs of our clients, there are times when some pieces that we send don't fit well. This could be due to brand sizing differences or body changes. In those instances, instead of sending the pieces back to us, we'll encourage our clients to donate them to one of Lift Bra Project's 30 drop-off locations across the GTA.

We've also engaged women shelters across Canada including Chez Doris for clients located in Montreal and we're open to suggestions for other women shelters in other major cities in Canada. Please let us know via email to info@aureliabox.com or DM us on Instagram!

Lastly, to quote from Michelle Cinapri, founder of Lift: The Bra Project: “It’s incredible to think about how much personality women are wearing under their clothes. Every bra is an expression of them that is covered up, and is just between them and the bra that they picked that morning.”

and we can't agree more.
